Deciding on a Concept

People approach a tattoo process from any number of ways. Some start with a specific design in mind, while many begin with just an abstract idea. Others may simply have a location on their bodies they'd like to have tattooed.

Whichever manner you choose, it's important to realize that there are endless possibilities for what can be created, and inspiration for a tattoo can come from absolutely anywhere. So in thinking about a tattoo concept, keep an open mind, and let your imagination wander.

Many collectors will also look to their tattooist for inspiration and suggestion, and trust in them to carry out a custom piece drawn from the artist's own imagination. New tattooing styles, technologies and methods are constantly redefining what a tattoo can potentially become, and your artist may be able
to present ideas and input that will give a unique twist to the final piece.
