Bill's Story

Bill Kieffer began his tattoo career in 2001, coming from a commercial illustration and design background. His journey began in Chicago, apprenticing under Rob Hixon and Erik Gillespie at Tomato Tattoo. Bill relocated to San Diego in 2004, and has since built a steady following and numerous awards with his portfolio of work. His specialties range from realism to highly dimensional illustrative tattoos, and he equally enjoys working in both color and black and gray approaches.

Bill is also a painter, sculptor and avid diver, and has an unnatural fixation with fish. Check out some of his aquatic at www.cityoffish.com
